Beverly McClellan is a contestant from Season 1 of The Voice. She was the fifteenth singer to be seen on the Blind Auditions and sang "Piece of My Heart" by Erma Franklin. Both Adam and Christina pressed their buttons but Beverly chose to join Christina's team.
Christina then chose during the Battle Rounds to pair up Beverly with Justin Grennan and gave them the song "Baba O'Riley" by The Who. At the end of their performance Christina chose Beverly to take through to the Quarterfinals and Justin was eliminated from the competition.
During the Quarterfinals, Beverly sang "I'm the Only One" by Melissa Etheridge and was 3rd to sing during the live show. Beverly also sang with the rest of her team and their coach Christina Aguilera to "Lady Marmalade" by Christina Aguilera, Lil' Kim, Mya and Pink. Beverly was saved by the public and moved on to the Semi-finals.
At the Semi-finals, Beverly sang "The Thrill Is Gone" by B.B. King and was 5th to sing during the live show. The final four were announced based on a mix of public's vote and voting of their coaches. Both carried equal weight of 100 points for a total of 200 points. Beverly received 50 from Christina and 57 from the public advancing her to the Finals ahead of Frenchie Davis. In the results show the final 8 all performed together to a "Faith/Freedom '90" medley by George Michael.
At the Final each of the contestants performed an original song and a duet with their coach. Beverly's original song was called "Lovesick" and her and Christina both sang "Beautiful" by Christina Aguilera. During the results show Beverly sang with Ryan Tedder to "Good Life" by One Republic. Beverly was eliminated along with Vicci Martinez and came 3rd/4th.
